NavNet system will not allow selection of the waypoint mark

Question

The radar display screen on my NavNet system will not allow selection of the waypoint mark (lollipop). What do I need to do to display this on my screen?

Solution

The waypoint mark requires a stabilized heading sensor connection to the radar unit, and a selected waypoint in the NavNet plotter section. The heading can be the AD10 format (Furuno specific) or the NMEA sentence format using HDG, HDM or HDT. Once the heading input is supplied follow the below procedure to turn on the waypoint mark (lollipop):

Waypoint Selection:

1. Display the full plotter screen by pressing the DISP button

2. Rotate the selector knob to highlight the plotter icon and press rotary/enter knob

3. Rotate the selector knob to highlight the full screen plotter icon and press rotary/enter knob to complete the selection

4. While in full screen plotter mode press MENU, WAYPOINTS/ROUTES, WAYPOINTS and select the method of waypoimt navigation. Select a waypoint and press GOTO

Turning Waypoint Mark On:

1. Display the full radar screen by pressing the DISP button

2. Rotate the selector knob to highlight the radar icon and press rotary/enter knob

3. Rotate the selector knob to highlight the full screen radar icon and press rotary/enter knob to complete the selection
