Commonly used frequency with the CH250

​The 150 kHz is a popular frequency because the beam angle is narrower than the 60 and 88 kHz models. The 150 kHz gives you better performance in shallow water areas, and the higher frequency/narrow beam angle provide outstanding target resolution.
 
However, lower frequency Sonars are generally preferred when fishing in very deep waters. Contact your local authorized Furuno dealer for assistance in selecting the best sonar frequency for your particular application.
