Leisure Marine Tech Support

Furuno USA is seeking a versatile candidate to join our team as a Leisure Marine Product Support Specialist. You will act as a subject matter expert within our Service Department, combining office-based technical support with targeted on-site field repairs and training. Based out of our Denton, MD facility, you will function as a high-level point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving issues via telephone and email. You will occasionally transition to the field (approximately 10–15% travel) to provide specialized shipboard repairs, conduct dealer training seminars, and represent Furuno at national boat shows. You are expected to maintain a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction while staying current on all product developments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve technical inquiries via telephone and email.
  • Conduct Shipboard repairs and interface Furuno equipment with other manufacturers.
  • Draft technical FAQs and product documentation.
  • Prepare trip reports and communicate performance issues to relevant personnel.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3-5 years with Furuno products or equivalent military electronics background.
  • Education: Vocational training or higher education in electronics highly preferred.
  • Licenses: Valid Driver’s License and Passport required; FCC License with Radar Endorsement required within 2 years of hire.
  • Physical: Ability to stand, kneel, and climb on vessels; ability to lift/pull up to 75 lbs.

Salary Range for Leisure Marine Product Support Specialist $29.34/Hour - $40.16/Hour + overtime. Annual bonus

Benefits: Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision & prescription plans. Employees are covered by basic life, long-term disability with optional coverage for short-term disability, voluntary life and supplemental insurance. Employees can enroll in the company’s 401K plan (company match) as well as a flexible spending plan. First year employees are eligible to receive 10 hours of PTO every month. PTO accrual increases with years of service. 3.33 hours of disability bank hours accrued monthly with a maximum benefit of 240 hours. 10 paid holidays annually.
